Harnessing a dramatic command of light and colour, Brae House reimagines a 1920s Californian Bungalow in Toorak, offering a tranquil space to support the family’s fast-paced lives.
Moody blues and eggshell whites reframe the home’s intricate timberwork and lead-light windows, complemented by a striking collection of contemporary artworks. A sculpted approach to furniture combines antique, hand-crafted and iconic mid-century pieces to create a collected, lived-in feel, while curiosities in the home’s décor elevate the home’s emotive sensibility. Warm and layered, Brae House honours the old home’s historic narrative and the clients’ daily lives in equal measure.
